early christmas decorating!

We were home sick this weekend so we decided to get our first fake christmas tree together and put it up to cheer ourselves up, even if it is maybe a bit early.

  1. Very nice! Glad your blogging again. It has been a while. How is the new job? Are you enjoying the change of seasons? What is fall in france like? Is the weather about the same?

  2. I know! I slacked off for awhile. I hope you and Dave are well and I will try to send a real email or something soon. Fall is great here. I think it's a little warmer still than it probably is in Baltimore. I am getting impatient to wear my really cold winter clothes! In general I think the weather is a bit more mild here for all seasons. The job is getting better as my on-the-job French is improving. It was a little intimidating at first. About half the customers are speaking just French, and the others speak English, so I have to sort of be on the ball.

  3. Ok, I can't believe I asked about the weather. That is a question for people who are getting acquainted. Ugg, sorry but I was curious. How many hours difference is there between EST (Maryland) and your neck of the woods? I could look it up but I'm being lazy. What is married life like? I'm loving it. Surprisingly, there are new things to learn about Dave even after all these years. We didn't live together until fairly "recently." Have you seen any cool new movies? What do you do for fun? What is on the agenda for the christmas holiday?

  4. It's okay! Lots of people ask me about the weather. We are 6 hours ahead of Baltimore, so when it's noon there, it's 6pm here. I love married life. I learn new things about Eric all the time, like that he was super excited about christmas decorations, for example, and that he thinks it's never too early to put them up. We haven't gone to any movies recently, but for fun we like to just walk around different places in Paris, go shopping, and go out to eat. Once in awhile museums, and soon we hope to plan a little trip somewhere. You know, the usual, but it's extra fun because he's part of it. We are going to have our first christmas together here; he has to work that morning since his museum's open that day, but after that we both have a few days off and we'll just have a cozy family time.
